THE REQUIREMENTS
There are a few requirements companies must meet to be eligible for our program. You are eligible to participate if you:
- Enter as a Dispensary Operation(1&2), Cultivation Operation(2), Other/Supplier(3), or Multiple(4)
- Are a business operating in the state-legal U.S. market or federally legal Canadian market
- Have at least 10 full- and/or part-time permanent employees working in the United States or Canada(5)
- Have a facility in the United States or Canada
- Are a publicly or privately held organization
- Are a for-profit or not-for-profit business
- Have been in business for at least one year, at the program registration deadline
- Are willing to be featured on CannabisBusinessTimes.com, if your company ranks on the Best Cannabis Companies To Work For lists.
(1) Dispensaries must have a brick-and-mortar location
(2) To enter as a cultivation and/or dispensary business, 50% or more of the business must come from either Cannabis Cultivation Operations (for cultivation) OR Cannabis Dispensary Operations (dispensary)
(3) Other/Supplier is considered any cannabis operation that is not a cultivation or dispensary business (for example, edibles, processors, labs, or technology, solutions or services providers). At least 50% or more of the business must come from products or services provided to the cannabis industry.
(4) If your organization has a combination of the different types of operations, you must enter as one registration and select every category that applies to you on the registration form. Organizations must employ a minimum of 10 employees in each operational category they select (cultivation, dispensary, and supplier). Companies can rank in multiple categories.
(5) To ensure credibility, organizations with 10-24 employees overall must have an 80% or better response rate on the employee survey (40% for employers with 25 or more employees). Temporary, per diem, PRN, seasonal, 1099 employees, independent contractors, non-employee consultants, interns and volunteers are not counted in the number of employees or included in the survey process.

HERE’S HOW TO ENTER
There are three different ways companies can participate.
FIRST – You can be an individual organization with a FEIN, or Federal Employer Identification Number/Business Number.
SECOND – You can be the parent or holding company of more than one organization, with one FEIN/BN for all subsidiaries. The parent or holding company must register with all employees employed by it.
THIRD – You can be a subsidiary of a parent or holding company but register separately if each subsidiary has a different FEIN/BN. If you have more than one facility, branch, factory, office, or store, you must include all locations that operate under your FEIN/BN in the survey.

WHO TO INCLUDE
When you participate, all of your current full- and part-time permanent employees working in the United States/Canada should be included. This means everyone…from the line-level employees all the way up to the executives and from the on-site workers to remote employees. If they physically work in the United States/Canada or work remotely and report to a supervisor in the United States or Canada, include them.
